A friend on Facebook shared a Dennis the Menace Cartoon where Dennis is pointing to the sky saying, “If Heaven is that pretty on the bottom, think how it must look on top!” That got me to thinking about my poem, “I Want to Peek at Heaven.” I was inspired to write this poem when the sky looked exceptionally gorgeous one day, and I thought wouldn’t it be great if we could just peel back the sky and see Heaven…..

There are so many things in life that can inspire us, and can also make us stop and take a moment to appreciate the beauty God shares with us. One example would be the beautiful sunset the other evening reflecting God’s artistic beauty in the heavens. I was inspired to write a poem about a beautiful rainbow several years ago, but one stanza of that poem is appropriate for this picture as well: What better frame for God’s deep love……
LIGHT OF LIFE (In honor of Suicide Prevention Month) Hold us in your arms, dear Father. Do not ever let us go. Keep us close during times of trials. Let your light of life please show. When our days are dark and dreary and during the nights we feel alone, we know, dear Father, you are with us for then your light of life is shown. Help us always to feel your presence.
