It’s Game Day!
Super Bowl Sunday is an annual championship game day … a game looked forward to and watched by millions. It’s considered an “unofficial” American Holiday, and is the 2nd largest day for U.S. food consumption, after Thanksgiving. (Nothing like barbecue wings, pizza, and chips and dip, etc., while cheering on your favorite team!)
It has become one of the most-watched television programs, with millions tuning in to watch the Super Bowl. It also shows some of the best (and most expensive) commercials during the game. Watching the commercials has become a part of the Super Bowl experience everyone seems to look forward to, and it’s fun to vote for the best and most entertaining.
Additionally, popular singers and musicians are selected to perform during the half-time ceremonies.
So why is it so popular? It could be that so much goes into not only the many games that preceded this championship game and the hard work put into achieving the honor of being in the Super Bowl by not only the players, coaches, and support staff, but apparently the many hours that were put into producing awesome commercials and the planning of the half-time entertainment as well.
Like the players on the field who listen to, and seek guidance from, their coaches in the hopes of being victorious at this year’s Super Bowl Game, may we also listen and seek guidance daily from our Heavenly Father, that we may be victorious today and always throughout our “game of life.” Victory can be ours through our faith, trust, and belief in Jesus!
May we always strive to be victorious in life, allowing God to be our coach and be open to His daily teaching and guidance!
Enjoy the Super Bowl Game today!
